Damian Browne has continued his domination of Sunshine Coast racing with a double from his only two rides at the public holiday meeting.
Browne made it 11 winners from his past 30 rides at the Sunshine Coast when he won on Rocky King ($2.20) and Written Above All ($5.50) on Monday.
He has ridden 54 Sunshine Coast winners this season at a winning strike rate of 30 per cent.
His 77 winners overall this season include two at Group One level but Browne admits he has an affinity for the Sunshine Coast.
"I live just over the hill and I love riding here. It is a track which suits my style," Browne said.
Rocky King's 2-1/4 length win over Steel Zip in the 1000m open handicap has shown he is on track for another shot at next month's Ramornie Hcp (1200m) at Grafton.
Rocky King finished three-quarters of a length second to Big Money in the 2014 Ramornie.
"We knew he was back near his best when he finished second in the Queensland Lightning at his previous start," trainer Tom Bourke said.
Tony Gollan and Jim Byrne increased their leads in the metropolitan trainers' and jockeys' premierships when Zoomania ($4.60) won the G T Print Hcp (1800m).
Gollan moved to 71 wins which is seven shy of Bruce McLachlan's record of 78 while Byrne brought up his 58th victory for the season.
