Jockey Mark Zahra has been cleared of serious injury after being thrown from a horse and will be right to take important Group One rides this weekend.

Zahra was taken to hospital for back X-rays after falling from a horse when returning to a stabling area at Caulfield on Tuesday morning.

"He got thrown off and landed on his back," Zahra's manager Reece Murphy said.

"He went to have X-rays and it was all clear, just soft tissue injury. He's not riding tomorrow but will be back on Friday night."

Zahra's book of rides at Moonee Valley on Friday night includes Angelic Light in the Group One Moir Stakes (1000m).

On Sunday at Flemington Zahra is booked to ride Alpine Eagle in the Group One Turnbull Stakes (2000m).

Zahra was aboard Alpine Eagle when the four-year-old finishing a close sixth in the Makybe Diva Stakes last start.

Alpine Eagle is an early $5 favourite for the Turnbull Stakes with acceptances to be taken on Wednesday.

Angelic Light is at $10 in Moir Stakes betting with three-year-old filly Petits Filous the $2.30 favourite ahead of acceptances for the Moonee Valley meeting on Wednesday.
