Stablemates Dothraki and That's A Good Idea will head in separate directions following their quinella in the City Tattersalls Club Lightning at Randwick.
At $4, That's A Good Idea was the more favoured of the two in Saturday's Listed 1100m sprint but Dothraki ($6) collared him late to get the upper hand by a neck.
Favourite Craftiness ($3.80) was up chasing That's A Good Idea to the turn but was found wanting in the straight and weakened to beat only two home.
Co-trainer Peter Snowden said Dothraki would head to Melbourne while That's A Good Idea would go in the opposite direction.
"We'll take Dothraki to Flemington to what used to be the Salinger, the Group Two down the straight, or a Listed race on Oaks day," Snowden said.
"That's A Good Idea will go to Brisbane for one of the summer sprints.
"He goes too hard to go down the straight."
Tye Angland said he found the perfect position on the winner.
"I just got on the back of That's A Good Idea and he pulled me into the race," he said.
"It was a strong performance."
Artlee ($11), the winner of the inaugural Country Championship, was an eye-catching third, just a long neck from the runner-up.
