Quest For More draws wide in Geelong Cup

Monday 19 October 2015, 11:29am

International visitor Quest For More has drawn a wide barrier for the Group Three Geelong Cup in a capacity field.

Quest For More was left stranded as the first emergency for Saturday's Caulfield Cup and the Roger Charlton-trained gelding will instead make his spring carnival debut in Wednesday's $300,000 race at Geelong with Tommy Berry to ride.

Topweight with 59kg, Quest For More has come up with barrier 16 in the field of 17 plus one emergency while the Ed Dunlop-trained Manndawi has barrier three and will be ridden by Kerrin McEvoy.

International visitors Media Puzzle (2002), Americain (2010) and Dunaden (2011) are horses to have claimed the Geelong Cup-Melbourne Cup double.
