Duric, McEvoy suspended at Geelong

Wednesday 21 October 2015, 6:24pm

Kerrin McEvoy and Vlad Duric are both set to miss Derby Day at Flemington after being suspended for careless riding at Geelong.

Duric was banned for 10 meetings after being found guilty of careless riding on Marocco Road in the Geelong Classic while McEvoy also incurred a 10 meeting ban after pleading guilty to a careless riding charge aboard Exclusive Lass which won the Rosemont Stud Stakes.

Both jockeys are free to take their respective rides in the Cox Plate on Saturday before starting their bans.

They will return on Melbourne Cup day.

McEvoy rides the Gai Waterhouse-trained Pornichet in the Cox Plate while Duric has the mount on Mourinho for Peter Gelagotis.
