Dodgy legs have inhibited Bold Circle's racetrack career but his class has been enough to propel him to his third career win at Randwick.
Trainer David Payne suspects the horse might have been featuring in higher-level races than Saturday's Men Of League Corporate Members Handicap if not for his soundness issues.
Given the four-year-old's problems, Payne was happy to take the Randwick victory.
"If he had (sound) legs he could have been a very good horse," Payne said.
"But he only cost $100,000 and he's (earned) well over that now and he's still got another win or two in him."
Jason Collett settled the $2.80 favourite second last in the small five-horse field and Bold Circle wore down the leaders before holding out the late bid of Excited Prince ($7.50) by a long neck.
Figtree, backed from $3.40 into $3.10, was another short neck away third.
