Cup hope Sky Hunter has bruised heel

Godolphin's Sky Hunter is the third Melbourne Cup contender with a fitness issue ahead of the big race.

The Saeed bin Suroor-trained stayer has a bruised heel and will undergo a veterinary inspection before Tuesday's Cup field is declared on Saturday.

Fellow international Quest For More has cast a plate and will also be inspected while Racing Victoria vets will visit Mongolian Khan on Thursday afternoon with the Caulfield Cup winner showing signs of colic.
