Final field for the 2015 Melbourne Cup

The Gai Waterhouse-trained Excess Knowledge has made his way into the Melbourne Cup field after surviving a protest to win the Lexus Stakes.

Waterhouse will now have two runners in the race with Bendigo Cup winner The Offer also set to take his place.

The United States has gained a start at the expense of stablemate Amralah which was withdrawn on Saturday because of a veterinary issue.
