Newitt to ride Reldas in Oakleigh Plate

Friday 26 February 2016, 5:45pm

Craig Newitt has picked up the ride on Reldas in the Oakleigh Plate at Caulfield.

One of the outsiders, Reldas gained a start in Saturday's Group One race following the scratching of Lord Of The Sky on Friday.

Newitt was down to ride third emergency Secret Agenda, but trainer Mick Price elected to scratch the filly to run in the Typhoon Tracy Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

Headwater, along with second emergency Swinging Arms, are also scratchings from the Oakleigh Plate.

Seaburge, runner-up at Sandown on Wednesday and second emergency in the Blue Diamond Stakes, has been scratched from the Group One juvenile race.
