Regan Bayliss beaten, suspended and fined

Saturday 21 May 2016, 6:01pm

Not only was Regan Bayliss narrowly beaten in a Listed race at Flemington, he also incurred a suspension and whip fine from the race.

Bayliss finished second on The Bandit in the Andrew Ramsden Stakes on Saturday but felt the wrath of the stewards.

He was banned for 12 meetings for a careless riding at the 550m that resulted in Patrick Moloney having to check his mount Space.

Bayliss was also slapped with a $750 whip fine for being one strike over the permitted number before the 100m.

He was fined $1000 on two whip charges at Caulfield last Saturday.
