Glen Colless will appeal a suspension in a bid to keep the ride on Stradbroke Handicap favourite Malaguerra.
Colless has been found guilty of causing interference at the winning post in last week's BTC Cup, which he won on Malaguerra.
Fellow jockey Michael Cahill came off Artlee in the incident.
At a reconvened inquiry on Saturday night, stewards charged Colless with allowing Malaguerra to shift in on the line.
Colless strenuously defended the charge and said he had not been responsible for the initial incident which caused the fall.
But presiding steward Martin Knibbs said it had been Malaguerra's final shift in which had caused Two Blue and Delectation to check Artlee.
As it stands, the ban runs from May 28 to June 14.
The Group One Stradbroke Hcp (1400m) is on June 11.
