Cleverly named filly Vegas Strip (Snitzel x Life Of The Party) becomes the 19th 2yo winner for Snitzel this season after a dominant display in breaking her maiden at Cranbourne on Friday night.
Ridden well by Jake Noonan, the filly led from start to finish and really relished the heavy conditions.
“She’s got race fitness on her side and racing against other competitors that probably lack that at this stage of their career, so I used that to my advantage. On a 2yo, when you can find the fence it’s a massive advantage. Seemed to kick off the corner well, which she did” jockey Jake Noonan.
Trained by Mick Price, Vegas Strip started as the hot favourite at $2.40 and didn’t disappoint punters, winning like a good thing beating home Queen Of Heights by nearly 5 lengths.
“Congratulations on a dominant win with Vegas Strip! She handled the heavy conditions well which is always a massive bonus to have. She is also racing much more generously and seems to be putting it all together now. It was a great win and I am sure there is plenty more in store” Blueblood’s Racing Manager, David Mourad”
Shortly after, Snitzel produced his 20th 2yo winner when Epic Moment gave Mick Price a winning double for the night.
Well done to Mick Price and his team and congratulations to all of the owners and connections in Vegas Strip.
