Jockey Jake Noonan is to undergo surgery on a broken leg suffered in a race fall.
Just three weeks after winning his first Group One race on Precious Gem in the Robert Sangster Stakes in Adelaide, Noonan came off at Pakenham on Sunday.
Fellow jockey Steven Arnold received a four-week suspension for shifting out at the 250m-mark of the race which resulted in Noonan's mount clipping heels.
