David Vandyke's transition from Sydneysider to Queenslander will be complete after Less Is More runs at Rosehill as the trainer's last runner from his Warwick Farm stable.

And the prospect of rain in the days leading up to Saturday's Eremein Handicap (1800m) gives the trainer hope he can make a winning farewell.

Vandyke has set up his business on the Sunshine Coast where he says both he and the horses are happy.

"All the horses have settled in really well and are very happy, as am I," Vandyke said.

"Less Is More will be my last ever runner out of the Sydney stable.

"My foreman Michael Robinson will saddle him up at Rosehill. Michael and the horse have been with me for four years and it will be the last time for both of them.

"Michael is going in a different direction."

Vandyke is not sure whether eight-year-old European import Less Is More will join the Queensland team.

"I will talk to his owner Angelo Vasili and see what he wants to do," he said.

"A wet track would certainly help the horse on Saturday so I'm pleased that could be the case."

Less Is More has won two races in Australia including the 2013 Listed Premier's Cup at Rosehill over the same distance as Saturday's race.

Jay Ford, who rode him to that win, will be aboard on Saturday.

The Chris Waller-trained three-year-old Encosta Line is one of 14 horses entered in the Eremein Handicap having missed a planned start in Saturday's Grand Prix Stakes at Doomben because of an irregular blood count.

Encosta Line is one of the leading contenders for the Queensland Derby (2400m) on Saturday week and has also been nominated for the Eagle Farm Cup.

Waller said Encosta Line had not missed any work and had galloped well at Rosehill on Monday.

He said he would only race on Saturday if Waller thought his fitness levels were not up to the mark.

The Vandyke-trained Brazen ran fifth in the Grand Prix won by the Waller-trained Mackintosh.

"He over-raced a bit so I'm going to change his gear for the Derby," Vandyke said.

"We will replace the blinkers with ear muffs and winkers and see if that helps him settle.
