All Too Hard for Futurity and Guineas

Sunday 17 February 2013, 6:16pm

All Too Hard will attempt to add two more Group One wins to his record over the next two Saturdays.

The Hawkes training team confirmed on Sunday the colt would run in the Futurity Stakes at Caulfield with the intention of backing up a week later in the Australian Guineas against his own age group.

The three-year-old half brother to champion mare Black Caviar won the Caulfield Guineas in the spring and opened his autumn campaign with victory in the weight-for-age C F Orr Stakes earlier this month.

His Orr win was his first for new owners Vinery Stud who acquired him in a package deal from Nathan Tinkler.

He has won five of his 10 starts and finished second to Ocean Park in the Cox Plate.

A son of Tinkler's Patinack Farm foundation sire Casino Prince, All Too Hard's stud value has been estimated at around $50 million.

Iconic's stud value is nil but the two-year-old gelding kept the family flag flying when he won a 900m maiden at Bendigo on Sunday at his second start.

The Tony McEvoy-trained juvenile is by Black Caviar's sire Bel Esprit out of Danavia, a half sister to the great mare's dam Helsinge.
