Progressive four-year-old Dany The Fox has beaten Group One veteran Wall Street to win the $200,000 Kilmore Cup.
Glen Boss steered the Mick Price-trained gelding to a 1-3/4 length win in Sunday's 1600m Listed race for OTI Racing.
Sent out at $3.40 favourite, Dany The Fox was put in the box seat by Boss who angled him off the fence to chase Wall Street down in the final stages of the race.
"I've made no secret I love country Cups," Boss said. "They are integral to the industry.
"This was a very good field today.
"I thought Wall Street would be hard to beat and he was."
OTI's Simon O'Donnell said he hoped it was the sign of things to come for Dany The Fox.
"He has made steady improvement," he said.
"This was his biggest test and he is very much heading in the right direction for us."
The other big race in Victorian on Sunday was the $50,000 Colac Cup which proved another triumph for the formidable team of trainer Darren Weir and jockey Dean Yendall.
Chord put the seal on another big day for the pair who also had two other winners on the program.
