Immediate plans for Arinosa will be revised upwards after the mare earned valuable black type with her win in the Listed Wenona Girl Handicap at Warwick Farm.
Trainer Chris Waller had a restricted race on April 1 pencilled in for the five-year-old who came with a late run to beat Choice Words by a length on Saturday.
She was sent out at $6 for her first run since her win in the race for grey horses at Flemington during the Melbourne Cup carnival.
"I didn't expect her to win today and I had her marked down for a benchmark 85," Waller said.
"We will be looking beyond that now."
Among the races Waller will consider is the Group Two Emancipation Stakes (1600m) on April 27, the final day of the Randwick autumn carnival.
"That looks like it might be a nice race for her," he said.
"Brenton (Avdulla) has the key to her and it was a great ride."
Arinosa began her career with Danny O'Brien in Melbourne and has recorded five of her seven wins under Waller who has prepared her since December 2011.
