Dwayne Dunn to ride Teaspoon in Slipper

Thursday 16 March 2017, 3:53pm

Dwayne Dunn has picked up the Golden Slipper ride on Teaspoon with an ear infection keeping her original jockey in Hong Kong.

Zac Purton had to forfeit rides at Happy Valley on Wednesday night, missing out on three winners.

The problem prevents him from flying to Sydney with Dunn the replacement om the Michael Freedman-trained filly.

"It's pretty exciting (to pick up the ride). She's a nice horse in the race," Dunn said.

Teaspoon is at $35 in early markets while her stablemate Frolic is a $12 chance.
