Hugh Bowman has relinquished the ride on Libran in the Sydney Cup in order to be free to ride Werther in a Group One race in Hong Kong.
Bowman was suspended for causing interference to English when he rode Le Romain to second in Saturday's All Aged Stakes.
The six-meeting ban prompted a rejigging of the leading jockey's commitments as he had a booking for the Chris Waller-trained Libran in the rescheduled Cup next week.
The Cup was abandoned mid-race last week when Almoonqith broke down.
By giving up the Libran ride, Bowman's ban will end on April 28, enabling him to ride at Hawkesbury a day later.
He will then fly to Hong Kong to partner Werther when he defends the QEII Cup on April 30.
Bowman is the leading Australian Group One jockey this season and also heads the current world rankings.
