Dubai World Cup winner Animal Kingdom is reported in good form after arriving in Britain for a possible Royal Ascot outing.
The five-year-old was an impressive two-length victor at Meydan last month and trainer Graham Motion immediately pointed to Ascot for his American raider.
The 2011 Kentucky Derby hero, who will stand at Arrowfield Stud in the NSW Hunter Valley during the southern hemisphere breeding season, has the option of either the Queen Anne or the Prince of Wales's Stakes at the feature meeting in June, but for now he is settling in at David Lanigan's yard in Lambourn.
"He shipped good from Dubai and he got in on Saturday evening. He looks in good order," Lanigan told At The Races.
"I could imagine he got a bit of a shock (at the difference in temperature). He's a very sensible horse and he seems to have settled in fine.
"Graham rang me before Dubai and said that he would like to send him somewhere a little bit quieter and asked if I'd mind if he stayed with us, if we had room. and we're happy to help him out.
"Graham is going to come over in the next week or so and see how he is. He wants him to jog for a couple of days just to get over the shipping and everything like that.
"He will come over and see the lie of the land. He wants to see what we do every day and then make a plan."
