Guy Walter will resist the temptation to add Skyerush to his Doncaster Mile team despite her courageous victory in Saturday's Prelude at Randwick.
The Warwick Farm trainer already has Coolmore Classic winner Appearance and Streama in next weekend's Group One feature and says Skyerush will be saved for the Emancipation Stakes a week later.
"That's always been the aim," Walter said.
"She won (the Emancipation) last year and I think she can win it again.
"She is a lovely mare. I thought today in this company with a fair bit of weight she'd have a tough task but she's a great little mare and she loves to win."
Skyerush ($17) settled handy to the speed in the 1600m contest before sprinting to the front and staving off the late bid of Alma's Fury ($8.50) by a half neck with Illo ($41) getting third in a close photo over equal favourite Raspberries ($6.50).
The runner-up is also unlikely to back-up in the Doncaster, according to trainer Paul Murray.
"I'm uncertain at this stage but I think it will be tough taking on horses like Pierro," Murray said.
Havana Rey was the other equal favourite but wilted badly after leading to finish among the tailenders.
