Queensland stewards have continued their crackdown on alleged poor rides by suspending a fifth jockey on a handling charge.
Toowoomba apprentice Rebecca Goldsbury was suspended for a month for her ride on Iron George at the Sunshine Coast on October 15.
Iron George finished second as the $1.85 favourite.
Stewards raised concerns about Goldsbury's ride after the start, at the 700m and in the straight.
Goldsbury pleaded guilty but said Iron George was having his first start at 1400m and she also had not had a clear run at the 400m in the straight.
Her suspension is due to end on November 28.
She joins Bridget Grylls (four weeks), Justin Stanley (one month) Dale Evans (two months) and Stephanie Lacy (two months) as jockeys suspended on handing charges in the past two months..
They were all charged with failing to give their mounts every chance to win or finish in the best possible position.
