Group One-winning jockey Nikita McLean has been suspended for five months for punching her sister, apprentice Jackie Beriman, at a race meeting.
A long-running family dispute spilled over to the female jockeys' room at the Hamilton race meeting last Sunday.
McLean pleaded guilty to a charge of misconduct in that she pushed and punched Beriman.
Beriman gave evidence via a phone hook-up while McLean attended the inquiry on Thursday in Melbourne.
McLean celebrated the biggest moment of her career when she won the Emirates Stakes in 2007 on outsider Tears I Cry.
Stewards took into account the personal circumstances surrounding McLean's case but a previous conviction for an assault on fellow jockey Stacey Rawiller weighed against her.
Mclean will be free to resume riding on September 14.
