Markets released for big Sydney races

Australia's latest sprint star Redzel has been installed favourite for two of Sydney's major sprint races.

Redzel is at $6 with TAB fixed odds for next April's TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick and $8 to record back-to-back Everest victories, a race that is still 10 months away.

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained sprinter has won his past six starts and followed up his victory in The Everest by leading throughout to claim the Group One Darley Classic at Flemington on November 11.

Three-time TJ Smith winner Chautaqua is rated an $8 chance to make it four straight while sharing the second line at $11 with Vega Magic in The Everest.

Markets also opened on two other feature Group One races for The Championships in the autumn.

Champion Winx is at $1.40 favourite to make it back-to-back victories in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes ahead of Humidor ($11) and Melbourne Cup runner-up Johannes Vermeer ($15).

The Doncaster Mile is more wide open with Epsom Handicap winner Happy Clapper the $11 favourite from Tom Melbourne and Tosen Stardom at $15.
