First Singapore winner for Donna Logan

Saturday 28 April 2018, 9:43am

Donna Logan has trained her first winner in Singapore from her third runner with Green Star winning at Kranji.

A Group One-winning trainer in her native New Zealand and Australia, Logan relocated from New Zealand in February.

She is the second woman to hold a trainer's licence in Singapore with Leticia Dragon the other.

Green Star is one of 11 horses in Logan's fledgling stable and had a second from two starts in New Zealand for Logan's trainer/daughter Samantha.

Under Craig Grylls, Green Star came with a late run to win Friday's race by a neck.

"We've been here only for a short while and to get that first win out of the way is a big thrill," Logan said.
