Veteran galloper Idle Situation assured himself of continuing on for another campaign when he led all-the-way to win the at Doomben on Saturday.

Although rising nine years, Idle Situation ($7.50) enjoyed a leisurely lead to score by 2-1/4 lengths to Estikhraaj ($5) with a short neck to Queen Of Wands ($8) in third place.

Idle Situation scored his 14th win and took his prize money to $212,000.

Trainer Glen Baker has had steady stream of winner since transferring from far north Queensland to the Gold Coast hinterland last year.

"It has been pretty good for an old horse from the bush. I paid $4000 for him as a tried horse off Kris Lees (trainer) and he has been terrific for us," Baker said.
