Epidemic has moved towards another attempt to enhance her value with black-type through a composed victory at Rosehill.
The Godolphin filly has not set plans at this stage though Queensland appears a logical progression after Blake Shinn guided her to the line in the Malcolm Johnston Hall Of Fame Handicap (1100m).
"That was a tidy effort, she's a talented little filly," said Godolphin assistant trainer Darren Beadman.
Epidemic, the $2.90 favourite, benefited from the strong tempo set by Easy Eddie and Goldfinch before pouncing to score by a long head from a fast-finishing Charlayne ($4.60).
Easy Eddie ($6.50) hung in for third, a half length further back.
"That style of racing really suit her, coming off a fast tempo and finishing strong late," Beadman said.
Epidemic wrapped up her previous preparation with a third in the Listed Gosford Guineas (1200m) in January and backed up a first-up win at Rosehill over 1100m a fortnight ago in style.
"I think there's a nice race in store for her, hopefully we can get some black-type to increase her stud value," Beadman said.
Shinn agreed a stakes race win was within Epidemic's range after recording her fourth win from nine starts.
"It's well within her grasp, she's building a nice record," he said.
