Gerald Ryan is relying on some girl power at Scone this week as he targets the rich two-day festival with three fillies and a mare.
All Ryan's four runners are on Saturday, the second day of the meeting in the heartland of the Australian breeding industry, the NSW Hunter Valley.
The races are supported by the major studs in the area with more than $2 million in prize money and trophies over the two days.
Ryan's team is headed by Group Two winner Flying Snitzel who competes in the $500,000 Scone Guineas (1400m).
The filly's Kewney Stakes win over Norzita at Flemington in March is her career highlight and Ryan is hoping she can recapture that form after being unplaced at her two subsequent starts in the Sydney autumn carnival.
"She's had a freshen-up and is working really well," Ryan said.
"If she found her Melbourne form she would be very hard to beat.
"What she needs is a firm track. She is just not as good on even a dead track."
Ryan's other runners are Angel Of Mercy in the $200,000 Dark Jewel (1100m), Centrepet in the $140,000 Denise's Joy (1100m) and Mineko in the $140,000 Woodlands Stakes (1100m) for two-year-olds.
Angel Of Mercy hasn't raced since December when she pulled up lame after a race at Rosehill.
"I brought her back with the intention of this race. It has been the first-up target all along.
"She trialled well last month and I'm very happy with her."
Centrepet will also go to Scone as a fresh horse while Mineko earned her berth with victory at her second start at Warwick Farm at the beginning of the month.
Both Flying Snitzel and Centrepet are raced by Triple Crown Syndications company which has embraced the Snitzel progeny as much as Ryan who trained the stallion to win the 2006 Oakleigh Plate.
The in-form Christian Reith rides Flying Snitzel, Glyn Schofield is on Centrepet, Tim Clark is aboard Angel Of Mercy while Hugh Bowman sticks with Mineko.
