Your Song's win in the BTC Cup has him favourite to complete the Brisbane Group One sprint treble with the colt now at $3 in both the Doomben 10,000 and the Stradbroke Handicap.
Trained by Anthony Cummings for Eduardo Cojuangco's Gooree syndicate, Your Song put up a devastating display on a deteriorating track at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
He beat wet track specialist Rain Affair by five lengths with another three-year-old Better Than Ready third and favourite Buffering fourth after missing the start.
Buffering is the TAB's second elect for the next two Group Ones at $4.50 for the Doomben 10,000 and $8 for the Stradbroke.
Your Song became the seventh individual three-year-old to beat older horses at Group One level this season with 10 elite races going to his age group.
"He put in a nice piece of work on Tuesday which sealed the deal and he got on the float on Wednesday," Cummings told Sky Sports Radio.
"For the sake of things that can go wrong I left him in the Rosehill race.
"But everything went to plan.
"I went there with expectations he could win but was surprised with the ease of the win.
The other three-year-olds to win open Group Ones this season are All Too Hard (C F Orr Stakes, Futurity Stakes, All Aged Stakes) Pierro (Canterbury Stakes, George Ryder), Super Cool (Australian Cup), Sacred Falls (Doncaster Mile), Shamexpress (Newmarket Handicap)
