Nature Strip draws seven for Moir Stakes

A field of 13 is set to contest the Group One Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley with favourite Nature Strip drawn the middle of the line up in barrier seven.

Nature Strip drew best of the three Darren Weir-trained runners with Brave Smash in 10 and Voodoo Lad in barrier 12.

NSW visitor Spright, to be ridden by Damien Oliver, drew the inside barrier with noted first-up performer Missrock drawing widest in Friday night's 1000m dash.

Last year's runner-up Viddora, who is resuming, has drawn barrier nine while Houtzen, a fast finishing second to Nature Strip in the McEwen Stakes on September 8, will begin from barrier two.
