Care To Think out of Kosciuszko

Wednesday 10 October 2018, 8:39am

Port Macquarie trainer Jenny Graham will now have two runners in the $1.3 million Kosciuszko with Awesome Pluck to replace long-time favourite Care To Think who has been ruled out with an elevated temperature.

Graham also has leading contender Victorem in Saturday's race for country-trained horses on the Everest program at Randwick.

Trainer Matt Dunn has been forced to withdraw Care To Think with the horse displaying an elevated temperature.

Dunn said it was too risky to subject the horse to a 10-hour float trip from Murwillumbah to Sydney.

Wagga publican David Barnhill, head of the syndicate which won the slot to race Care To Think, negotiated to run Awesome Pluck on Wednesday morning.

Awesome Pluck has not raced since February but won a 1000m-trial at Port Macquarie on Saturday by 8-1/4 lengths.
