Trainer Robbie Griffiths and the connections of Mr Money Bags face a tough decision after the gelding's win at Flemington.
Mr Money Bags drew wide and had a tough run before taking out Saturday's Yuletide Handicap.
A trip to the Gold Coast for the Magic Millions meeting will come under consideration and a race at Flemington on New Years Day and a stakes race at the track 11 days later will also be thought about.
"We've always had an open mind whether to stay at Flemington and come back here on New Year's Day and then go for the Chester Manifold," Griffiths said.
"He is a Magic Millions horse, which will be up for discussion, but it can be a tricky track, the Gold Coast, and he can get a bit hot.
"So we'll most probably stay here in Melbourne and stay racing at his favourite track."
Ridden by Jye McNeil, Mr Money Bags ($4.60) scored a 1-3/4 length win from Kazio ($9), with the $3 favourite Haunted a length away third.
"He was fantastic today as not a lot went his way," Griffiths said.
"He was three-wide having no cover and was pushed four-wide coming to the corner but he's a horse that wants to win for you.
"We knew he was still in it but to go away and win like that and run that time, it was a tremendous effort."
