Rachel King suspended at Randwick

Tuesday 1 January 2019, 8:10pm

Rachel King has gone from villain to hero for trainer Joe Pride at Randwick, causing interference to Destiny's Kiss in the feature race before winning on his stablemate Royal Witness.

The Pride-trained Destiny's Kiss ran third in the New Year's Day Cup (2400m) after copping a check from King's mount Earth Angel who ran second to Naval Warfare.

King later made amends when Royal Witness won the 1000m-sprint by a nose in a photo-finish from November Man.

She will be out from January 9 to 13 with stewards taking into account the contribution from Tom Marquand on Just Dylan who shifted out at the 350m mark at the same time King shifted in, with Destiny's Kiss copping the brunt.
