Apprentice Chad Schofield's milestone week ended on a low note when stewards handed him another suspension at Flemington on Saturday.
Schofield outrode his claim when he booted home his 80th city winner at Moonee Valley on Wednesday but picked up his 10th suspension this season in the third heat of the Banjo Paterson Series (2500m).
Schofield initially pleaded not guilty to a careless riding charge aboard Maurizio before stewards suspended him for 12 meetings, starting at midnight on Saturday. The ban was cut to 10 when Schofield changed his plea.
The suspension soured Schofield's winning day after he posted a winning double.
Another apprentice, Jake Noonan, will miss 10 meetings, starting from midnight on June 10, after stewards charged him with careless riding on Orlando's Bride in the Leilani Series Heat 2 (1400m).
Stewards found Noonan, who is due to fly out to England to join the Andrew Balding stable next weekend, caused interference to Tom Sadler's mount Vain Attraction at the 400m.
Sadler himself had to front stewards to answer a careless riding charge from his ride on Brungle Cry in the Banjo Paterson Series Heat 3 (2500m).
Stewards suspended him for eight meetings for causing low-grade interference.
