Trainer Robert Heathcote is confident Hidden Kisses can bounce back from an out of character failure to claim a black type win at Ipswich on Saturday.
After a promising start to her winter campaign which produced Doomben and Eagle Farm placings, Hidden Kisses could finish only 11th to Sookie in the Glenlogan Park Stakes on May 25.
"It's fair to say her last run was a bit disappointing but there were probably some contributing factors," Heathcote said.
"She ran a blinder at her previous start at Eagle Farm in the wet which she usually doesn't handle and we think that might have flattened her for her next run in the Glenlogan Park.
"When she was tracking Arinosa into the race last start I thought she would finish it off better than she did."
Heathcote has monitored the condition of Hidden Kisses since and says she is fit to proceed to Saturday's Gai Waterhouse Classic (1350m) at Ipswich.
"We had the option of the Dane Ripper but it was a pretty hot race and we felt the race at Ipswich was a better option for her," he said.
"She's bounced back well since her last run. Her work last Tuesday was excellent and we're looking to try and put a black type win next to her name."
Heathcote will also be represented at Ipswich by Gundy Son in the Eye Liner Stakes (1350m).
The gelding was runner-up to the Gerald Ryan-trained Adnocon in the Eye Liner two years ago and has impressed Heathcote with his lead-up form.
"He's been unlucky at his past couple of starts and the 1350 metres looks ideal for him," he said.
"They normally go hard in that race and plenty of pace up front suits his racing pattern."
