Frankie Dettori has been booked to ride United States raider Havelock in the Group One Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot but his agent admits it has been hard to find mounts in the big races.
Dettori, who has only just returned from a six-month drugs ban, will link for the first time with the Darrin Miller-trained six-year-old, the winner of four Graded races over various distances at home.
The jockey's agent, Ray Cochrane, told the Daily Express Dettori had a few good rides over Royal Ascot week but admitted it had been hard to secure the better mounts.
"We've got a few rides, but I'm not releasing them at the minute as I don't want to frighten anyone away," Cochrane said.
"At Ascot, all the good rides have been taken. He's only been back a fortnight.
"I'm looking for spare rides for him. I've made phone calls last weekend, and, hopefully, people will come back to me.
"People just want to see Frankie busy and working hard. Unfortunately, there are not the good spare rides about.
"He's taking it well. He's in great form and just glad to be back riding."
Dettori split with the powerful Godolphin operation just before his drug positive became known.
Over almost 20 years as an integral part of Sheikh Mohammed's team, Dettori rode 110 Group One winners.
