Chris Waller has numbers on his side as he chases two milestones with acceptors in 23 races across three racetracks on Saturday.
Closing in on 200 winners nationally for the season, Waller has 24 acceptors at Rosehill, Moonee Valley and Newcastle.
He has trained 198 winners and would be odds-on to reach his double century on Saturday as he tries to reel in Peter Snowden's lead of 8-1/2 winners in the Australian trainers' premiership.
Fresh from training his eighth Group One winner of the season last weekend, the Rosehill trainer has 16 acceptors at his home track as he needs one victory to help edge him past 150 Sydney metropolitan winners for 2012-2013.
Waller, with runners in all eight Rosehill races, is also just seven wins away from breaking the Sydney trainers' premiership record shared by Tommy Smith and his daughter Gai Waterhouse.
He has trained more than double the number of winners led in by Waterhouse (73), his closest rival on the premiership table.
One of Waller's better chances at Rosehill, the in-form Disciple in the Gaypak/United Fruit Handicap, has figured in a riding switch.
Leading country-based apprentice John Kissick will not ride at the meeting because of illness and Waller has called on Yusuke Ichikawa and his 3kg claim.
Waller has favourites in three Rosehill races with Disciple at $4.20 to make it three wins from as many starts since resuming.
"He deserves to step up in class and although he has an awkward draw, he's pretty versatile," Waller said.
Said Com ($3.40), favourite for the Sydney Markets Limited Handicap, is the shortest of Waller's Rosehill runners.
Berrimilla and dual acceptor Gullible share favouritism at $6 in the Lui Cicco Memorial Handicap.
A track inspection late on Friday kept Rosehill in the slow range, a rating that will ensure Waller's team stays mostly intact for the meeting.
"As long it's fine from Friday afternoon onwards it will be a slow track," Waller said.
"And we'd be hoping for a slow track for most of our runners."
