The rich Queensland summer carnival begins to ramp up when several of the likely stars make their public reappearance at the Doomben trials.
The summer carnival starts with the Group Three George Moore Stakes at Doomben on November 23 and ends with the Sunshine Coast Cup in late January.
The highlight will be the $10 million Magic Millions race day on January 11 at the Gold Coast.
Premier Brisbane trainer Tony Gollan has dominated the summer carnival for nearly a decade and will trial some of his stars on Monday.
Smart mare Outback Barbie will head the team into the summer sprints and she will run in the second heat over 1000m.
Outback Barbie will have the choice of several races as a grand final on Magic Millions day in January including the Fillies and Mares race and the Cup.
Darling Downs trainer Steve Tregea has nominated his top sprinter Niccanova after the Toowoomba trials were abandoned last week.
Gollan's multiple stakes winner I'm A Rippa will be opposed by Desleigh Forster-trained Chapter And Verse in the first heat of the day.
"I'm A Rippa will tackle the summer sprints in Brisbane and head to the Magic Millions day," Gollan said.
Chapter And Verse won the $1 milion Magic Millions QTIS race this year and will either go there again or head to the Magic Millions Cup.
"I am pleased with the way he has come back and the trial is the start," Forster said.
Gollan will also have Silvera, another stakes winner, in the same heat and the gelding is headed to the 1600m feature races in coming months.
The Chris Munce-trained Boomsara, who won the Magic Millions Guineas this year, is also on the Magic Millions trail again and will run in a shorter heat over 840m later in the day.
"He has been back in work for a while and ready to comeback,' Munce said.
