Following the strong win of Champion Thoroughbreds’ three-year-old Target In Sight at Kembla Grange on Tuesday, in addition to the anticipated fifth win of Carmine King at Eagle Farm on Saturday, the Champion Team are looking forward to showcasing 16 of their 22 horses the owners and the general public this Sunday, the 14th of July.
Held at the combined offices and stables of syndicator Champion Thoroughbreds and their sole trainer John O’Shea at 28 High St, Randwick, it’s a central location for many Sydney based owners.;
Horses on show will be consistent Group winning stayer Lightinthenite, who will be aimed at a couple of Melbourne Spring features later this year, as well as promising stakes-placed juvenile Diamond Oasis, who is closely related to Pierro, among 14 other stable mates.
Champion Thoroughbreds trainer John O’Shea commented, “These Open Day’s represent a great opportunity for the owners to come along and see their racehorses and the physical progress that they’ve made, we give a good deal of commentary to give everyone an idea of where they’re at, and welcome questions.”
In addition to the current racing stock, there are two yearlings to be paraded that both still have a few shares available, one by More Than Ready out of a Group 3 winning sprinter, the other by extremely popular first-season-sire Medaglia d’Oro.
“Both colts underwent their first piece of faster work this week and I couldn’t be happier with them. They’ll both go through the gates on Saturday morning before having four week spell next week.” O’Shea commented on the above-mentioned yearlings.
There will be a BBQ in full swing as well as a barista on hand to take your coffee order. General public and children are welcome! Arrive at 9:30am in preparation for a 10am start.
