An early-morning track inspection will decide the fate of the Doomben meeting on Thursday.
Stewards and course manager Jim Roberts walked the track on Wednesday afternoon and rated it a heavy 10.
A further 14mm fell at Doomben on Wednesday bringing the total in the past 10 days to more than 300mm.
Roberts said the track was extremely heavy and would need a break in the weather overnight.
"Put it this way if we were racing Wednesday the meeting would be in grave danger," Roberts said.
"But we decided to give it to the morning when we will make an early decision."
"The course is saturated and it started to rain again while we were walking the track."
Last Thursday's Doomben meeting was abandoned as were meetings at Beaudesert, Toowoomba, and the Sunshine Coast (twice).
The rescheduled meeting in Toowoomba on Tuesday was able to be completed.
Ten races have been programmed for Thursday's Doomben meeting.
Nine races have been programmed for Eagle Farm on Saturday where the track is rated as soft.
