Toowoomba trainer Kevin Kemp believes stable apprentice Madeleine Wishart and stablemates In Your Element and Naval Strike get their chance for a change of luck at Eagle Farm.
Wishart will ride In Your Element in the Trump Flooring Handicap (2200m) and Naval Strike in the QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap (1400m) on Saturday.
She has ridden In Your Element at the mare's past six starts for five minor placings including a nose second to Kuttamurra Al at Eagle Farm last Saturday week.
"In Your Element goes well for Madeleine and they just keep running into one a bit better on the day," Kemp said.
"She gets in light again and she will be running on strongly so they are in with a hope."
Wishart will take over from fellow 3kg claiming apprentice Adin Thompson on Naval Strike who also has had no luck at his past two starts.
The saddle slipped on Naval Strike and the gelding missed the start when he was fourth at Eagle Farm two starts back.
Naval Strike was badly checked when finishing hard along the rails at his next start when eighth at Eagle Farm on February 1.
"Hopefully he is getting out of the habit of being slow to jump," Kemp said.
Stable iron horse Tisani Magic is set to return in the Open Handicap (1000m) on Saturday.
Tisani Magic had 19 starts in his last campaign which ran eight months.
"He won five times and earned a cheque in all but one run. So he deserved his spell in August," Kemp said.
"He has had two jump-outs but he might not run from the wide barrier (10)."
