Triple Threat looks likely to be geared towards the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe as yet another challenger for Andre Fabre after his fluent victory at Maisons-Laffitte over the weekend.
The colt had become difficult in the stalls this season, overcoming the start on his reappearance but wrecking his chance on his most recent outing in the Prix de Guiche.
Barry Irwin, head of owners Team Valor, persuaded the renowned 'horse whisperer' Monty Roberts to work with Triple Threat in France and it appeared to work a treat as he beat a useful field in the Prix Eugene Adam.
Fabre, who already has two of the leading Arc candidates in Flintshire and Intello, was winning this Group Two prize for an incredible 14th time.
"Andre warned me that Roberts' lessons would take their toll in the short run and, of course, he was correct," Irwin told the Team Valor website.
"But the two great horsemen combined their talents to get our colt over the hump. I am truly grateful to both of them for their genius. We are really excited about the Arc."
