The Group One Myer Classic is the ultimate spring aim for You're So Good but trainer Nigel Blackiston believes the mare is forward enough to make her presence felt at Caulfield on Saturday.
You're So Good is set to run first-up in the Group Three Cockram Stakes (1200m) and has been readied for that race with two jumpouts including a win in wet conditions last Friday at Flemington.
"When she goes out she always gives her best every time. She'll run a super race, hopefully," Blackiston said, looking ahead to the Cockram Stakes.
Blackiston said the four-year-old had come back bigger, stronger and more mature than the autumn.
The daughter of Savabeel finished second in the Group One Australian Guineas and won a Listed 1600m fillies race in Melbourne during her autumn campaign before ending her preparation with an eighth when stepping up to 2000m in the Group One Vinery Stud Stakes in Sydney.
Blackiston believes You're So Good is best suited as a sprinter-miler and is looking forward to the spring ahead.
Michael Walker will ride You're So Good in the Cockram.
Blackiston said it was always the plan for You're So Good to kick off her campaign in the Cockram before working her way through the spring carnival.
"She'll go there and then we'll hopefully head to the Let's Elope and then we can determine which way we go for the rest of the carnival," Blackiston said.
"The Myer Classic will be the main goal but there's some nice races in between."
The Cockram Stakes is one of five black type races at Caulfield on Saturday headed by the Group Two P B Lawrence Stakes (1400m) which will feature the return of Melbourne Cup favourite Puissance De Lune.
