Guy Walter isn't a punter and if he has to choose between his Warwick Stakes runners, Streama gets the nod over Toydini.
Both have come in for significant support in Saturday's Group Two race at Warwick Farm with dual Group One winner Streama backed from $8.50 to $6 with the TAB and Toydini into $9.50 from $21.
The Joe Pride-trained Rain Affair remains the favourite but has eased from $1.55 to $1.90.
The money that has come for the two Walter-trained runners is not stable inspired but Walter says he couldn't be happier going into the race with two live chances.
"Streama is proven at this level and has an edge when it comes to fitness," Walter said.
"She's very adaptable. She can race back or she can be up on the pace.
"Nevertheless Toydini is an exciting horse but he has to take the step up from three-year-old company to taking on older horses.
"I think he can but you never know."
Streama has been freshened up from an autumn-winter campaign which, although it didn't result in a win, brought a solid fourth in the Doncaster Mile followed by placings in the Stradbroke Handicap and Tatt's Tiara in Brisbane in June.
The mare will be ridden by Glen Boss who partnered her in the Doncaster and the Stradbroke.
Walter's only concern is that with most of the field running first-up in preparation for longer races, Streama might be left carting them up to natural leader Rain Affair in the 1400m weight-for-age race.
"I wouldn't want to see her having to do the work of bringing the field to Rain Affair," he said.
"But with little speed in the race, I wouldn't be surprised if she was up close.
"Glen can work all that out."
Toydini will be ridden by Peter Robl, replacing the suspended Blake Shinn who steered him to wins in the Phar Lap Stakes and the Carbine Club Stakes in the autumn.
While Walter believes Toydini has the potential to be a top-line sprinter-miler, he is not ruling out getting him up to 2000m despite his fourth as the odds-on favourite over the distance in the Frank Packer Plate.
"He was at the end of a long campaign so I'm not ruling it out," he said.
"He is a very talented horse who has already proven himself adept at a mile."
Both Streama and Toydini are likely to meet again this spring with the Group One Epsom Handicap a target for the pair.
The Warwick Stakes will be a defining event for Rain Affair with Pride to decide after the race whether to step the gelding up in distance and aim for the George Main Stakes (1600m) or bring him back to the sprints and set him for the Manikato Stakes (1200m).
