Star mare Atlantic Jewel headlines the 14-horse field for Saturday's Group One Memsie Stakes at Caulfield.
The Mark Kavanagh-trained Atlantic Jewel, unbeaten in seven starts, hasn't raced since April last year and has come up with barrier eight for her comeback in the 1400m weight-for-age contest which is being run at Group One level for the first time.
Kavanagh expressed reservations about running the mare when it was announced the Memsie would be the final race on the card but has been reassured the track is in good order to cope with the amount of traffic.
Melbourne Cup winner Green Moon has gate 10, Australian Cup winner Super Cool will jump from barrier 12 while last season's Sydney three-year-old triple crown winner It's A Dundeel has the rails.
The Memsie Stakes is the first Group One event of the new racing season.
