Miracles Of Life is back in Melbourne and her trainer Daniel Clarken is confident the flying Adelaide filly can pick up where she left off.
Miracles Of Life was the feel-good story of the Melbourne autumn carnival, winning the Group One Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield with Lauren Stojakovic aboard to seal a perfect juvenile season of four wins from as many starts.
Miracles Of Life arrived back at Caulfield early on Friday ready to take on a strong field in Saturday's Group Three McNeil Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield.
Clarken is aware the unbeaten run with the horse nicknamed `Barbie' might not last but believes another chapter can be written over a suitable distance.
"Reality says it can't stay together forever but you would be hoping it could stay the way it was - for the horse, myself and Lauren," Clarken said.
"It would be fantastic."
He is hoping the filly's sharpness over the 1200m, on the back of an impressive barrier trial, can stand her in good stead against the likes of Blue Diamond runner-up Fast `n' Rocking and Caulfield Guineas joint-favourite Prince Harada.
"I think she's matured and got a lot stronger and she's done the work so I think she can (win)," he said.
"There is improvement in her but I think her class will get her through."
While confident in the ability and speed of Miracles Of Life, Clarken said he respects the opposition and rates them all dangers.
"We've got to carry weight against them," he said.
"They're all there trying to beat us, but they'll need to be on their A-game. I'm pretty happy."
Spring options for Miracles Of Life remain open with the filly a chance to go to the Thousand Guineas (1600m) if she shows she can handle a rise in trip.
But whatever her spring goal is, her trainer is happy to have a horse preparing for top races.
"It's great to be back and great to have a horse of this calibre in your care," he said.
