Tommy Berry to miss important carnival day

Saturday 28 September 2013, 6:11pm

Tommy Berry will miss the ride on Aussies Love Sport through suspension with the colt to run in either the Caulfield Guineas on October 12 or the Spring Champion Stakes on the same day.

Berry was outed for shifting out aboard Epsom Handicap hopeful Our Desert Warrior near the 250m of Saturday's Shannon Stakes at Rosehill in which the four-year-old finished third to his Gai Waterhouse-trained stablemate Rain Drum.

Waterhouse will leave a decision on where Aussies Love Sport goes next following his third in the Stan Fox Stakes at the Rosehill meeting.

Berry will ride one of the Waterhouse runners in next Saturday's Epsom Handicap.

He pleaded guilty to causing Your Honour to be checked in the Shannon because of his shift.
