The first lot of European contenders for this year's spring racing carnival have arrived in Melbourne.
Eight internationals arrived at the Werribee quarantine centre on Saturday afternoon, including American St Leger winner Dandino who is set to contest the Caulfield and Melbourne Cup.
Cox Plate hopefuls Side Glance and Mull Of Killough were also on the flight.
Along with the internationals, Australian sprinter Shamexpress also arrived home after his campaign during the English summer.
Dunaden, Red Cadeaux and Brown Panther will be among the second lot of internationals to arrive in Melbourne on October 19.
