Jockey Ric McMahon was successful aboard Raeburn at Doomben on Saturday but ended the day on the wrong side of stewards.
McMahon was suspended for seven meetings for careless riding after stewards found him guilty of causing interference to Urgent Bells and Bradbury's Chocolate at the 800m in the Bundaberg Distilling Co Handicap (1110m) when he rode Destruction.
His suspension starts after Wednesday's meeting at Doomben. He will resume riding at the Gold Coast on October 17.
Stewards have suspended the licence of trainer Jason McLachlan to allow him to deal with unresolved personal issues.
Chief steward Wade Birch said Racing Queensland was committed to providing McLachlan with whatever assistance he needs to return to the industry.
The Racing Queensland licensing committee has approved Doug Roberts to take over the training of McLachlan's team of horses.
