Ben Melham is the latest jockey to be hit with a careless riding suspension but it will not start until after he partners Puissance De Lune in Saturday's Cox Plate.
Melham was found guilty of careless riding aboard Lady Antebellum in Wednesday's Black Pearl Handicap, with the mare going on to win the 1200m race.
His 10-meeting ban starts after Saturday's Cox Plate meeting and he will miss the Victoria Derby card on Saturday week.
The jockey can return to the saddle on Melbourne Cup day.
Melham rides Puissance De Lune in Saturday's $3 million Cox Plate at Moonee Valley after picking up the mount when the horse's regular rider Glen Boss was suspended at Caulfield last Saturday.
Boss, Nick Hall, Damien Oliver and Nash Rawiller are all big-name jockeys who are out of Cox Plate day serving careless riding suspensions.
